Letters from me
You deserve something more than another thing to consume.
Each month, I send you a handwritten letter and original artwork in the mail.
— a thoughtful, intimate ritual for the woman who wants to feel connected, inspired, and held by something beautiful in her everyday life.
A quiet moment of connection in a world that rarely slows down.
Every month, I write you a letter and send it in the mail along with original artwork I create just for you.
Not content. Not advice.
A letter, from a friend to a friend. Sent by mail.
From me — a woman navigating motherhood, marriage, business, friendship and identity as life unfolds.
(mẹ also means mother in Vietnamese)
I write because I’m searching for real connection —
to you, wherever you are in the world,
to the slower rituals we’ve lost,
and to the version of myself I’m still becoming.

A LETTER
Every month, I sit down to write you a letter.
Not content. Not advice. A letter, from a friend to a friend. From me — a woman navigating motherhood, marriage, business, friendship and identity as life unfolds. (mẹ means mother in Vietnamese).
I write because I’m searching for real connection —
to you, wherever you are in the world,
to the slower rituals we’ve lost,
and to the version of myself I’m still becoming.
And maybe somewhere inside my words, you’ll see yourself too.
A POSTCARD
My 6yo daughter gives me drawings and cards every day. They’re her way of expressing her love and admiration for me. But often, they end up stacked in my drawers. Not because they don’t matter, but because I tend to move through life too quickly.
So each month, I intentionally curate my favourite art and words from my daughter. Then I turn them into a postcard for you to keep or send. A reminder for both of us, of how wondrous life is from a child’s perspective.
A PHOTO
Like many, I often forget to take photos while living life. When I do, they just sit in my camera roll and are quickly forgotten about. Until much later, when they become the only way I remember who I was and how life felt in that moment.
So each month, I send you a photo from my life with a journal prompt — a reminder for both of us to document and reflect on the ordinary days. Because they are always the most precious. And because one day, these photographs and words will be all we have as proof of the extraordinary life we lived.
I moved to Australia in 1999 when I was twelve, leaving behind my father, friends and relatives I’d known my whole life.
For years, letters were the only way we stayed connected.
I’d write, seal the envelope, put a stamp on it, take it to the Post Office and then wait.
No instant reply, read receipt or tracking number. Not even certainty it would arrive at the destination.
Just time. And hope.
-
I remember checking the letterbox every day after school, hoping today was the day something came faster than it should.
A letter from Australia to Vietnam took 14 days. One from Vietnam back took even longer.
But, I learned to live inside the waiting.
The feeling of longing, missing, yearning for people who were out of reach. It’s a sadness that I still remember today.
But the day I held a letter from Vietnam in my hands was the day that sadness got a long, loving embrace. Letter day was always a happy day.
We sent photos too.
I never liked having mine taken, but I did it anyway. Back then, photos weren’t for sharing online. They were for someone far away. For memory. For presence. For connection.
We can call, message, send photos at any time.
And yet… we don’t always reach out.
Photos sit quietly on our devices or social media feeds.
Messages get sent quickly, some skimmed, some stay unread and forgotten just as fast.
Today, these letters are my way of returning to the human ritual that we used to cherish so much.
Not the waiting. But the feeling.
Of writing something that’s meant for someone.
Of sending it with love and intention.
Of creating something that’s received, kept and cherished for years to come.
To celebrate the first 100 founding members, June’s mail will include a little something extra for you.

The Experience
-
These letters are personal, raw, messy, fun, reflective - a real time story of the life I’m navigating as a mother, businesswoman, wife, friend, creative. I write to you as a friends, without the fear of judgement that often comes with sharing a piece of myself online.
-
Although there is no pressure to write back, I do include a PO Box address in the letters should you wish to write to me. I’d love that a lot, as connection is what I’m searching for. But, no pressure!
-
Every month, I sit down and handwrite the letter. I then scan those pages and print them for each member.
-
Every month, inside the envelop you will receive my letter, a postcard — made from original artwork and words from my daughter, Stevie; a photo — taken by me from a moment in time that we can all cherish forever and a journal prompt to help you get started on your writing journey.
